Responsibilities

Maintain and repair industrial electrical equipment. (480 volt, 3 phase). Install electrical wiring, switches, receptacles, lighting fixtures and similar devices according to electrical code. Read and interpret prints and building plans. Ability to read and work from Electrical schematics. Knowledge in high voltage (480v) and control voltage National Electrical Code. Fundamental concepts of refrigeration. Soldering and brazing. Test, repair, and install heating and air conditioning systems. Install and repair refrigerant fuel gas piping or tubing. Knowledge of air handlers units with hot/chilled water coils. Recover refrigerant to meet EPA and industry standards. Building management system. Maintain interiors and exteriors of industrial buildings. Perform basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and concrete skills. Carpentry skills including rough framing, estimating materials and costs, and remodeling existing structures. Rough carpentry: Framing. Finish carpentry: Install cabinets and trim. Install interior trim and hardware. Basic millwork experience. Electricity skills including installation of electrical wiring, switches, receptacles and lighting fixtures according to electrical codes; use of electrical. Plumbing skills including fabrication and/or repair of copper, black pipe and PVC piping; soldering and brazing; installation and repair of fixtures in both supply and drain systems. Repair, replace and adjust mechanical items. Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Perform basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and concrete skills. Read schematics, diagrams and blueprints. Basic knowledge of pumps/gears/motors. Maintain conveyor mechanical systems. Knowledge of schematics and build prints. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics systems. Fundamentals of electricity. Electronic and electrical troubleshooting. Basic PLC programming. Knowledge of square D or Allen Bradley PLC'S. Ability to read and work from schematics. Building and Maintenance Mechanics should have a thorough knowledge of general building maintenance and experience with AC motors and logic controls, including: DC drive controls troubleshooting, installation and repair of 480 three phase electrical circuitry. Ability to perform the full spectrum of maintenance work including: carpentry, plumbing, refrigeration equipment, HVAC, coil and gas fired steam boilers, fire detection equipment, sprinkler systems, basic knowledge of electronics, troubleshooting and repair of conveyor systems, fuel farm equipment, and brazing experience preferred. Work may be performed on the ramp (terminal or hangar area) where employees may be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, noise and fumes for extended periods.  

Qualifications

Twenty-four months commercial/industrial maintenance experience Minimum three years experience in the following areas: Electrical (480 volts, 3 phase) Structural (including steel frame construction) Mechanical (including conveyors) Plumbing Motor controls/PLC (electronic computer controls). Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. Must have a valid state driver's license.
