Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following: Assign all open flying to qualified cockpit crewmembers according to Federal Aviation Regulations Part 121, especially Subpart Q (Domestic Operations - flight / duty time limitations and crew rest requirements), Subpart R (Flag Operations - flight time limitations), and Subpart S (Flight Time Limitations: Supplemental Operations); Continental Pilot CBA, including subsequent Letters of Agreement negotiated between the Company and ALPA; and established Company policies / practices Monitor pilot check-in system, contacting Pilot Crewmembers who have not checked in for their trips, and replacing them as needed Monitor Pilot Crew legalities, communicate changes, and reassigning pilots infringing upon FAA Regulations or Pilot CBA limitations Assist Pilots with monthly line improvement, including trip trades / drops / pickups / splits, and trip advertising in the Crew Communications System Staff the Preferential Bidding System (PBS) Help Desk, provide Q & A support, and troubleshooting bidding / award concerns Work with SOCC coworkers to solve operational problems due to inclement weather, maintenance delays, security issues, etc. Provide a 24-hour communications center / point of contact support for Pilot work group Responsible for safeguarding / planning for adequate Pilot Reserve coverage (e.g. through trip trade approvals, rebuilding / combining pairings, reserve Days Off management, setting CMPOOL levels, etc.) Execute COSMOS transactions to ensure accurate crew pay, preservation of pilot activity records, and quality assurance (FAR compliance, flight time, qualification data, etc.) Monitor Pilot qualifications to ensure Pilots have all necessary training for their flight (equipment qualification, landing currency, area qualification, Special Airport qualification), replacing as needed Review monthly Pilot bid awards to ensure month-to-month compatibility Daily administration of a series of six Reserve pilot assignment / proffering windows Interact with many other departments on Scheduling issues (e.g. Chief Pilot's Offices, Manpower Planning, Crew Planning, Crew Pay, Training Scheduling) Assist Pilots with miscellaneous crewmember type concerns (e.g. ad hoc hotel accommodations, deadhead / PS0 bookings, Crew Communication System (CCS) queries, reporting known COSMOS / CCS problems, outages, etc.)
Qualifications
BA degree or equivalent work experience (5 years). Previous customer service experience a plus (preferably in the airline industry). Computer knowledgeable. Excellent telephone communication skills. Multi-task oriented and able to prioritize work load in a stressful environment. Must be able to work any/all shifts (24-hour/7-day operation). Emphasis on punctuality and attendance. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
