Responsibilities

Directs and oversees the activities of the customer service and production department management team. Supports the development of effective measurement guidelines as they relate to performance standards and SCO goals. Monitors progress of management team with regards to unit and corporate objectives. Ensures required compliance of the FDA and USDA standards. Ensures team knowledge of monthly unit and department goals. Work with and supports corporate departments implementation of new systems and processes. Ensures accurate production systems are in place and production schedules are updated and utilized by all departments to meet delivery times. Communicates performance expectations and status utilizing available resources. Supports materials / warehouse department to ensure accurate EOM inventory and required financial timelines are met. Works as a liaison between the station operations team to ensure communications of hub functions, including in-flight, terminal operations and maintenance. Ensures customer comments are responded to and corrective measures are in place to prevent reoccurrence. Attends stations meetings as required.

Qualifications

Excellent leadership, planning, organizational and communications skills required. Ability to communicate with a diverse work force and lead large teams of at least 100 or more. Basic to moderate knowledge of Microsoft office applications. In depth knowledge of process improvement, manufacturing practices and principles of Lean Manufacturing processes and/or lean six sigma. Knowledge of financial controls and budget planning?. Ability to motivate and develop management team for future growth opportunities. 10 years directly related to in-flight catering, manufacturing or process management experience. BA degree or related experience. Thorough knowledge of FDA guidelines and requirements associated with safe and sanitary food production and handling. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
