Responsibilities

Responsible for repair and maintaining the physical structure of the kitchen. Record meter reading and temperatures for electric, gas and water. Perform monthly preventive maintenance on mechanical appliances and equipment. Complete work orders assigned by Maintenance - Lead and/or manager. Change chemical for Warewashing machine. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the department and kitchen. Operate ice plant equipment and bag ice with supervision. Blow down boiler and feed chemical. Operate and maintain emergency generator and refuel. Add salt to water softener equipment. Operate company vehicles, forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, baler and other mechanical equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Refrigeration recovery license preferred. Knowledge of basic math skills. Ability to read and understand diagrams, schematic and blue prints. Working knowledge in one or more of the following facility maintenance trades that include: refrigeration, electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, refrigeration recovery, boiler repair or general building repair. One-year work experience in one or more of the following facility maintenance trades that include: refrigeration, electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, automotive mechanics, boiler repair or general building repair. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, speak and write English. Valid driver's license and current driving abstract. Obtain a 10-year background for FAA security access. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an applicant to successfully perform the functions of this job. Lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs. Pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs. Continuous climbing over 20 feet. Repetitive motion. Continuous attention to detail and alertness while performing maintenance functions. Must be able to work any shift in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.
