Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Accounting Manager at Van Nuys in Southern California.
ACCOUNTING MANAGER, Aircraft Maintenance Facility (Northern Los Angeles/ Van Nuys)
* Responsible for the accounting and financial operations for two operational aircraft repair stations.
* Complete the month-end close.
* Produce operational, management, and financial reports.
* Manage cash flow including collections, payables management, payroll, and invoicing.
* Responsible for proper revenue recognition and job cost review.
* Track and manage inventory.
* Implement a Percentage of Completion revenue recognition system/ work order – job cost system.
* Utilize MS Office to include Excel, the Aviation Work Order System, and Accounting System.
* Maintain insurance information and compliance with accounting, FAA, and operational standards.
* Develop and implement best practices and accounting systems to improve accounting information and efficiency.
* Supervise two accounting clerks.
* Report directly to the Aircraft Repair Station General Manager and indirectly to the executive management and investment team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* At least five years of recent experience with month-end close, management and financial reporting, cash flow, inventory, and work order/ job costing/ percent of completion.
* Expertise in aviation, manufacturing, construction or a related industry utilizing work order/ job cost.
* In depth knowledge of Excel, Work Order Systems (Corridor, Total FBO, etc), and automated accounting systems (QuickBooks, Great Plains, etc).
* Professional demeanor with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
COMPENSATION:
* All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply as the final compensation package offered will be based on experience.
* The position has a targeted salary of $50k to $70k and includes full corporate benefits, but salary could be flexible based on your direct industry, job cost/ work order, and systems experience.
* Local candidates to Van Nuys are preferred, but limited relocation assistance may be offered on an individual basis.
