JOB DESCRIPTION
Sr. Cost Analyst
We are currently seeking a Sr. Cost Analyst who will primarily be responsible for aircraft manufacturer and maintenance related accounting and analysis. The position will report to the Sr. Manager – G/L and is a great opportunity for an individual seeking growth in an exciting industry. The position is located at our headquarters in San Carlos, CA.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for all accounting with aircraft manufacturers and maintenance providers.
•Develop transparent relationship with aircraft related vendors to ensure complete accounting for billing and credit transactions.
•Act as liaison between corporate headquarters and maintenance bases.
•Update Finance management team of current maintenance cost related activities.
•Ensure proper training of the maintenance staff for g/l coding of aircraft and maintenance related transactions.
•Assist FP&A in regards to budget vs. actual analysis.
•Assist in developing internal controls and procedures & put new controls and procedures in place.
•Work with Finance management to develop smooth interface between Corridor and SAP.
•Supervise inventory count processes at maintenance bases.
•Participate in completion of month end/qtr close:
- entering all assigned invoices into SAP
- preparing accruals and reversing entries.
- preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with accounting for non-aircraft maintenance related areas.
•Work with Finance management team in preparing for external audits
•Process improvements - Drive discussion and action in improving existing accounting processes.
•Assist with interviewing staff members for XOJET, Inc for other finance areas
•Flexible in participating in ad hoc special projects.
Requirements:
•BS or BA in accounting, or similar degree required
•7+ years Cost Accounting & Accounts Payable processing experience
•Strong GAAP knowledge required
•Manufacturing industry experience preferred
•Self starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
•Experience in rapidly growing organizations a plus
•Strong ERP systems experience required, SAP experience a major plus
•Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and organizational skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management
•Flexibility to travel between headquarters & maintenance base on frequent basis.
